Player Injuries

Coaches are reminded that all player injuries must be reported to TYSA within 24 hours of the incident to ensure that proper insurance procedures are taken.  If there is any doubt related to the health of a player, a doctor's note must be submitted to TYSA prior to the player being activated for a game.  It is important to keep in mind that the safety of the players is always the highest priority.

As the fall sports season kicks off, we encourage you to take this opportunity to talk with your coaches, parents, athletes, and others about concussion in all sports and the steps to take to help prevent, recognize, and respond to this serious injury. We can help athletes of all ages stay active and healthy by knowing the facts about concussion and when it is safe for athletes to return to play.

If you think your athlete has sustained a concussion…don’t assess it yourself.

Take him/her out of play, and seek the advice of a health care professional.
