Alfred Carpenito Scholarship

Alfred Carpenito was one of the original founders of the Tewksbury Youth Skating Association.  He was a resident of Tewksbury where he raised his family and devoted much time to community sporting programs.

The Alfred Carpenito Scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating Tewksbury Memorial High School senior who chooses to further his/her education and who has played ice hockey for the Varsity ice hockey team.  Any applicant requesting consideration for this scholarship must be a resident within the town of Tewksbury at the time of the application.

William T. "Hymie” Doherty Memorial Scholarship

Hymie Doherty was a life-long Tewksbury resident and served as a coach in the TYSA Hockey Program for many years. Hymie was the first coach of the Tewksbury Youth Girl's Hockey Team and remains a deeply respected figure in the Tewksbury hockey community.  

The William T. “Hymie” Doherty Memorial Scholarship is awarded each year to a graduating High School Senior from his/her respective school who chooses to further their education and that has been a member of the Tewksbury Youth Skating Association for at least (4) four seasons, one year must have been played at the Bantam or Midget level.
